Gluten-free Frosting
This is a frosting that is light and fluffy and not too sweet. If you want to pipe it, you'll need to add more cream cheese as a base to stiffen it.
Recipe type: Dessert
  • 1 (8 oz.) bar of cream cheese
  • ¾ C confectioner's sugar or 1 C granulated sugar
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1½ C whipping or heavy cream
  1. Whip cream until soft peaks form, set aside.
  2. Add sugar, salt, softened cream cheese and vanilla.
  3. Fold whipped cream into cream cheese mixture until combined.
  4. Frost cooled cake or store in refrigerator until ready to use.
