Tropical Green Smoothie Recipe

Have this for your morning breakfast or an afternoon cool down. While being delicious, you gain many necessary vitamins and nutrients to keep you going through your summer activities. Add more or less water to suit your taste or add in some of your other favorite fruit such as mango, passion fruit, papaya or kiwi. A bit of lime would be nice, too.

  • 6 ice cubes
  • 1 C coconut water
  • 1 C fresh or canned pineapple chunks (no sugar added, please!)
  • ½ banana
  • ½ C torn spinach leaves or a small handful
  • 1 torn piece of Kale pulled from the stem
  1. combine ice cubes, water, fruit, spinach and kale in blender.
  2. Blend until smooth.
  3. Pour into two glasses. Serve immediately for best results
  4. You can store in refrigerator for later but make sure to stir well before drinking or whirl in the blender to recombine.
